03 Eylül 2021

A delegation from ILKE Foundation including the foundation's executive board chairman Dr. Lutfi Sunar and chairman board of trustees Dr. Nihat Erdogmus conducted a brief visit to Germany this weekend, on September 03 and 04, 2021 and visited several civil society organizations, research centres and publishing houses there.

The delegates visited association named Der Sozialdienst muslimischer Frauen (BFMF) and met with Dr. Erika Amina Theißen on Friday evening, September 03, 2021. The association works in several fields predominantly towards ensuring women rights and reducing discrimination from the German society.

The team later visited Islamische Gemeinschaft Milli Görüs e.V. (IGMG) in Cologne on Saturday and met with the organization's Asst. General Secretary Murat Gumus. The delegation also met with seniors from ILM Academicians and Plural Publications the same day.

Later the same day, the team was welcomed at FAIR international, Cologne, an independent association that works against discrimination based on ethnic origin and religion. FAIR aims at raising awareness of the issues of discrimination and prejudice crime, and developing strategies to reduce discrimination and mechanisms that trigger discrimination, such as prejudice and stereotyping.

Overall it was a successful visit and helped our team find the potential dimensions and ventures for collaboration with German organizations.
