In a seminar organized by ILKE, renowned academic and founder of the Ummatics Institute Dr. Ovamir Anjum, delivered an enlightening talk titled "The Need for an Indigenous Ummah Discourse". Dr. Anjum's talk revolved around the importance of the Muslim ummah, transcending the concept of a nation-state. He explained the potential revival of a contemporary caliphate (hilafah), the pragmatic manifestations of a borderless ummah, and the necessity of collaborative efforts. Despite the reality of nation-states, Dr. Anjum emphasized the significance of mutual support within the global Muslim community. The speech shed light on promoting unity and cooperation among individuals regardless of geographical boundaries, highlighting that despite the nation-states, we have the potential for an ummah that transcends borders.
