Khaled A. Beydoun Shares His New Work “The New Crusades” at ILKE
In the seminar organized by İLKE Agenda, renowned academic
Dr. Khaled A. Beydoun talked about his book "The New Crusades: Islamophobia
and the Global War on Muslims", which examines global Islamophobia from a
legal and fundamental perspective. In the seminar, Beydoun talked about the
important issues addressed in his book.
In his speech, Beydoun explained in detail how Islamophobia
has become a global threat as a strategy used by democratic and authoritarian
regimes against Muslim populations. In his book, Beydoun highlighted
Islamophobia in its various forms, from headscarf bans in France, to
state-sponsored hate speech and violence in India, and even assimilation camps
in China, drawing on direct testimonies from Muslims to explore the issue in
depth.
The seminar, which took place in the form of a
question-and-answer session with the active participation of the participants,
was an important platform for discussion and information sharing. During the
event, several copies of Dr. Khaled Beydoun's book were distributed free of
charge through a raffle by the co-organizer "Droplets of Mercy".
