Analysis of a Year of Deteriorating Expectations: Economic Monitoring Report 2022
In 2022, a year in which the effects of the monetary and
fiscal policies implemented during the pandemic continued, expectations
deteriorated to a great extent. The report published within the scope of the
Field Monitoring Reports project launched by İLKE Foundation in 2020 analyzed
the year 2022. In the Economic Monitoring Report 2022, many topics such as
growth, inflation, agriculture, foreign trade, labor force, youth unemployment,
housing prices, and monetary policy are evaluated.
The Area Monitoring Reports, published for the first time in
2020, cover five main areas: economy, society, education, law and civil
society. These annual reports adopt a data-based and inclusive approach. The
report prepared by İLKE Foundation's Research Center for Islamic Economics
(İKAM) presents the macroeconomic outlook of the Turkish economy.
