He was born in 1980 in Yozgat, Turkey. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2003 in the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Boğaziçi University, and earned his master’s degree in 2006 from the same university in the Adult Education program. He received his PhD in 2013 from Istanbul University in the field of Labor Economics with a dissertation focusing on the relationship between the higher education system and the labor market in Turkey.

His research and publications continue in the areas of education policy, education-employment relations, higher education, and adult education. He is currently a faculty member in the Department of Educational Sciences at Marmara University and serves as one of the editors of İnsan ve Toplum (Journal of Humanity and Society).
