Think Tanks in Turkey Meet at ILKE

On July 25th, a significant gathering took place at the İLKE Foundation headquarters, where top representatives from various think tanks and research centers, along with esteemed academics, convened. Notable organizations such as Al-Sharq Forum, Al-Sharq Strategic Center, IRAM, SETA, Ummatics Institute, IIIFO, Maqasid Institute, BISAV, CIGA, USUL Academy, ESAM, IIIT, and RWAQ were among the participants. Chaired by Dr. Nihat Erdoğmuş and moderated by İLKE International Relations Coordinator Ahsan Shafiq, the roundtable meeting delved into the challenges faced by think-tanks, their shortcomings, and the potential roles they can play in navigating the crisis.
The intellectual contributions presented during the meeting offered participants diverse perspectives and ideas. Discussions ranged from identifying the difficulties think-tanks encounter in reaching decision-makers to emphasizing the value of bottom-up approaches and collaboration in dealing with the crisis in the Muslim world. The insights provided valuable perspectives on the role of think-tanks in the region.
