He received his bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Yıldız Technical University in 2011. He completed his master's degree in the same department in 2013. In August 2019, he earned his PhD with a dissertation titled "The Performance and Dimensional Relationship of Dynamic Systems: A Structural Evolution Theory."

Between January 2017 and April 2018, he was a visiting researcher at Duke University, serving as a TÜBİTAK fellow. Following his role as an R&D engineer at Istanbul Ulaşım Inc. between 2011 and 2012, he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Yıldız Technical University from 2012 to 2019. From 2020 to 2023, he served as an Assistant Professor in the same department. As of July 2023, he holds the title of Associate Professor in the same department.

Between 2021 and 2022, he was also a visiting faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University, once again as a TÜBİTAK researcher. Since January 2019, he has been a member of the Board of Directors at the ILKE Foundation, and since October 2023, he has also served as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees
