Originally from Erzincan, Lokman Özkara was born in Istanbul in 1960. He graduated from Pertevniyal High School in 1977 and began his career in the wholesale and import sector. He served for many years as the Chairman of the Board of Özkardeşler Makine A.Ş.

Currently, he is a Member of the Board at Kale Group of Companies. Lokman Özkara is married and has three children.
