Alpaslan Durmuş

Alpaslan Durmuş graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Marmara University in 1993.

He completed his master's degree in 2002 at Marmara University, Institute of Educational Sciences, in the field of Educational Administration and Supervision with a thesis titled "The Reflections of Globalization on Education." He is currently pursuing his PhD in the same field and institute.

Between 1994 and 2000, he worked as a teacher and administrator at both public and private educational institutions in Kırklareli and Istanbul. In 2000, he founded an educational consultancy company called EDAM. Since then, he has provided consultancy services to various types and levels of educational institutions. Until 2016, he continued his work as the General Manager of the institution he founded, which offered educational consultancy, content production, and publishing services.

He has contributed to numerous institutions and organizations in various capacities such as publisher, author, editor-in-chief, managing editor, editor, consultant, proofreader, and reviewer. Some of these institutions include: the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), EDAM Publications, the Turkish Printing and Publishing Professional Association, the Turkish Diyanet Foundation, and the Turkish Green Crescent Society (Yeşilay).

Durmuş has held various roles in many non-governmental organizations. In 2014, he served as the Chair of the Executive Board of the ILKE Foundation for a period of eight months. Alpaslan Durmuş, who is married with three children, served as the President of the Board of Education and Discipline (Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu) from August 29, 2016, to August 6, 2019.
