Income Distribution and Taxation System in Türkiye Discussed in a Seminar at İLKE

İLKE Foundation's Research Center for Social Thought and Policy (TODAM) organized a seminar on 28 October 2022 to discuss the Income Distribution and Taxation System in Turkiye.
Prof. Dr. Fatih Savaşan, Dr. Veysel İnal and Research Assistant Şükrü Çağrı Çelik discussed the income inequalities in Turkiye with a fiscal perspective and reflected upon the recent tax policies. Fatih Savaşan discussed the place and effectiveness of tax policy in the fight against crises while Veysel İnal's presented empirical evidence on the effects of tax policies on income distribution. Şükrü Çağrı Çelik discussed the impact of tax policies that were implemented after COVID-19 on income distribution. All three speakers emphasized the importance and effectiveness of the fiscal side policies. The program, in which academicians, tax experts and researchers participated in great numbers ended with a questions and answers session.
