01 Nisan 2024

The ILKE Foundation recently had the privilege of hosting esteemed international guests in Istanbul at an iftar event. It was an enriching and delightful gathering, with attendees including Hamza Karamali, Heba Raouf, Danish Qasim, and many others. The event brought together scholars, thinkers, and civil society representatives from various institutions, fostering a sense of unity.

As we broke our fast together, we engaged in meaningful discussions on pressing topics, particularly focusing on how academics and thinkers can proactively respond to international crises such as the recent events in Gaza. Furthermore, there was a shared vision for ILKE Foundation to expand its global presence and impact.

Heba Raouf emphasized the importance of publishing reports in Arabic to reach a wider audience, while Hamza Karamali highlighted Istanbul's potential to serve as a hub for the Islamic community.

Danish Qasim brought attention to the urgent need to address xenophobia and racism among college students, stressing ILKE's role as a center for knowledge production to tackle these challenges with renewed enthusiasm and a global perspective.

The event served as a platform for insightful dialogue and reaffirmed ILKE Foundation's commitment to fostering international cooperation and understanding.
