Alija Izzetbegovic's Advisor Adamir Jerkovic Reflects Upon Dayton Agreement

Alija Izzetbegovic's advisor and senior Bosnian politician and academician Prof. Dr. Adamir Jerkovic spoke to a conference at ILKE Foundation for Science Culture and Education on the anniversary of famous Dayton Agreement on Thursday December 15, 2022.
During the talk the guest speaker gave a historical background of the contemporary problems the region is facing. He explained how the agreement was put forward not with a motive to bring peace but instead to keep the region under control. He also expressed how the High Representative appointed by the United Nations enjoys powers beyond the country's constitution and rules and can hence influence the choice of people through elections. According to him, although the genocide may have ended the systematic injustice continues by under representation of Bosnians in their own country compared to Serbs and Croatians who get a higher political representation than their share in the population.
