Zeyneb Hafsa Orhan
Zeynep Hafsa Orhan completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at Bahçeşehir University. With a scholarship from the Swedish Institute, she pursued a master’s degree in International and EU Relations at Linköping University in Sweden. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the International University of Sarajevo. Her doctoral dissertation focused on risk analysis in profit-and-loss sharing models in Islamic banking (participation banking).
Since the fall semester of 2015, she has been serving at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. As an Associate Professor in the field of Banking and Insurance, her main research interests include comparative finance and banking, as well as the relationship between Islamic finance and banking and the broader discipline of Islamic economics.
