After completing undergraduate studies in Public Finance and Sociology, Yunus Emre Aydınbaş earned master’s degrees in Economics and the Sociology of Religion. He has held various positions in the banking sector and private industry. He completed his Ph.D. with a dissertation titled “An Analysis of Zakat in Turkey: Economic, Social, and Legal Dimensions.”

Aydınbaş continues his academic research, focusing on areas such as the methodology of Islamic economics, Islamic economic thought, financial structures and tax systems in Islamic economics, ethics and economics, and political economy.
