Prof. Dr. Yavuz Samur is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Bahçeşehir University. He also serves as the head of the Center for Innovative Education Development and Research (YEGAM).

His research focuses on educational games, digital and physical games, board games, gamification in education, the use of technology in education, technology addiction, parenting in the digital age, digital game design and game addiction, as well as social media and its addictive aspects. He leads various projects aimed at preventing addiction and increasing children's physical playtime.

He is the author of 1 Yeni Bildiriminiz Var (You Have 1 New Notification), a book on parenting in the digital age, as well as Eğitimde Oyun, Oyunlaştırma, and Eğitsel Oyun Tasarımı, which focus on game design and gamification in education.
