Furkan Yıldız

Furkan Yıldız completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Economics at Marmara University in 2008. He earned his master’s degree from the Institute of Social Sciences at Marmara University in 2012 with a thesis titled “European Union Energy Policies in the Context of Turkey’s Geopolitical Position.”

He received his Ph.D. in 2017 from the Institute of Social Sciences at Istanbul University with a dissertation titled “The Middle-Income Trap: Causes and Consequences – The Experience of the Fragile Five Countries.”

Between 2009 and 2012, he worked as a visiting research assistant in the Department of Economics at Marmara University, and from 2012 to 2017, he served as a research assistant at Kırklareli University. Since 2018, he has been working at the same university as an Assistant Professor. Yıldız conducts research in fields such as energy economics, economic growth, and development economics.
