He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance at Ankara Social Sciences University. He graduated from the Department of Economics at Uludağ University in 2013 and completed his master’s degree in Islamic Finance in 2017 at the International Center for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In 2023, Burak Çıkıryel completed his Ph.D. in Islamic Economics and Finance at Sakarya University. He is also the Assistant Editor of the Journal of Islamic Economics.

His research interests within Islamic economics include macroeconomic policies, banking, and finance. He has carried out numerous academic projects and publications in these areas and contributed to the organization of related conferences. Additionally, he actively participates in non-governmental organizations, taking on various roles, managing projects, and working to organize events that benefit society.
