He completed his undergraduate education in 2004 at Anadolu University in both the Department of Educational Communication and Planning and the Department of Business Administration. He earned his master’s degree in 2006 from Marmara University, Department of Human Resources Management and Development, with a thesis titled "The Support of Training Programs with Intra-Institutional Communication Tools in Businesses."

He completed his PhD in 2011 at Sakarya University in the Department of Labor Economics with a dissertation titled "The Evaluation of Mobbing Behaviors by Municipal Employees."

Tiyek is currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations at Kırklareli University. His publications focus on social policy and human resources.
